Amazing breakfast, best we have had in a very long time!!

Best small cafe I have eaten at. Large portions like grandma used to feed you.

Great breakfast, huge portions and friendly service. The only downer is, cash only!! When I visit Ely again, I will be coming back here for breakfast. Stuffed Hashbrowns are greatly recommended. Pancakes are huge!!

This place is a must stop for breakfast before starting any kind of adventure in the Boundary Waters.

Britton’s has a unique small-town feel with wonderful food at a great price. Have been going here a few times each summer for 8+ years now and look forward to more visits in the future!

My friend (Brian) called this place “Brittany’s” cafe. Even though that is not the name of this restaurant, it still lived up to the high expectations. Great food and service, will definitely stop by again if I’m in the area.

I'm told there can be lines, but we lucked out. We came in on a Monday morning (8'am'ish) and there where several open tables. Good coffee, friendly service and the portion sizes left you wabbling out after.

I would give 4.5 if possible. Excellent service and good food for affordable price. Most of the time you won't be able to finish the plate. First option for breakfast in Ely.

Love the place. Food is good : try the French Toast special (choice of bread is caramel apple, cranberry, strawberry, plain) or the Chicken Fried Steak. The pancakes are the size of large dinner plates. The biscuits are the size of large cinnamon rolls.Lines can be long, but cycle quickly. Staff is very friendly. They open around 5:30am and close at 1:30pm I think.Cash or check only.

Large portions of great food and friendly service, a small town staple

Ate there for breakfast, lovely local cafe with good diner food and big portions. Eggs sunny side up were perfect. Cheerful waitress greeted most customers by name, and kept our cups refilled without us having to ask. Observed the waitress quietly steering an elderly customer through the menu options to ones that matched his dietary restrictions. Lovely

Great Breakfast. You WON'T go away hungry. Recommend the loaded hash browns. Not the cheapest but DEFINATLY the BEST.

Becoming a family tradition to have breakfast here the morning we head into the BWCA. LARGE pancakes, good food and price was good. Start your own tradition!

Fantastic breakfast stop! My son and I stopped here after doing some hiking near the boundary waters. Everything was amazing. I ordered a side of stuffed hash browns, which were great, and my son ordered pancakes. He and I couldn't finish everything because as you can see from the picture the pancakes are enormous. They don't take credit cards, cash or check only so plan accordingly. This will be a traditional breakfast spot for me from now on.

This was everything we needed before a full day of hiking. The wild rice benedict and the crab cakes benedict were amazing. We both added cheese and onions to the hash browns and it was so worth it. The portions are huge, so come hungry. This place only takes cash and was super crowded, so visit the ATM beforehand and be prepared to wait, just know that it's well worth it.

AWESOME food, HUGE portions, FRIENDLY staff. GREAT business. If we are back in Ely we'll be back! FYI they only take cash or check so come ready, there is a credit union across street.

EXCELLENT FOOD!! EXCELLENT SERVICE!! Bacon was perfect! My husband had the pancakes and they were huge , I joked with them that if anyone could finish the pancakes they should get a shirt saying just that !!

Best place in Ely to have an early breakfast. I've been going here for 20 years, since I was a child. The staff has been pretty much the same people, and they're the nicest you'll find in this town.

Always consistent. Perfect every time. All you have to do is say I will have my usual, and it will be there in record time. There's a reason for a line. Don't bother trying to get breakfast in Ely anywhere else. save me a seat.

Ate here after kayaking in the boundary waters for a week. Wow this place was good. Maybe my pallet was off from just eating camp food, maybe it wasn't. But can say they were friendly and we had good service.

The food here is great. I ordered a breakfast burrito and my friend ordered corned beef hash. Both of us enjoyed our food. The food tastes fresh and homemade. You do need cash or check. They do not take cards. We will be coming back.

Huge portions, friendly service, mouth watering food. The food of Ely has been our favorite part and this is a place you MUST visit.
